SalahLock Terms of Service

1. Eligibility

SalahLock is available only to users aged 13 years or older. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

2. License and Usage Restrictions

We provide you with a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use SalahLock for non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

You agree that you will not:

• Copy, alter, distribute, or attempt to reverse-engineer any part of the App
• Use the App for illegal, harmful, or deceptive activities
• Bypass, disable, or interfere with key features, including screen time controls or subscription mechanisms

3. App Features

SalahLock includes the following core functionality:

• Screen time restrictions aligned with Islamic prayer times, implemented using Apple’s FamilyControls API
• Islamic prayer time calculations based on your device location
• Customisable reminders and notifications
• An integrated Qibla compass feature

Please be aware that the built-in compass may not always be fully accurate or reliable.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Certain features of SalahLock require an active subscription purchased through Apple’s App Store.

• All payments, renewals, and cancellations are handled by Apple
• Refunds are governed strictly by Apple’s refund policies
• Subscription usage is also subject to Apple’s applicable terms and conditions

5. User Responsibilities

By using SalahLock, you agree that you are responsible for:

• Using a compatible device
• Providing accurate information, including enabling location services for prayer calculations
• Using the App in accordance with applicable laws and Islamic practices

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

SalahLock is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties or guarantees regarding:

• The accuracy or completeness of prayer time calculations (including Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha)
• The accuracy of the Qibla compass feature
• The reliability or timeliness of screen blocking features. Due to operating system limitations and background processing behavior, app blocking may occasionally be delayed, missed, or not occur during scheduled prayer windows.
• Uninterrupted, error-free, or fully secure operation of the App

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, SalahLock is not responsible for:

• Errors, delays, or inaccuracies in prayer times or reminders
• Missed prayers or incorrect observance times
• Incorrect Qibla direction
• Any losses or damages arising from reliance on the App or from unauthorised access to user data
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

8. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights related to SalahLock, including its content, design, and functionality, are owned by us or licensed to us. You may not use our trademarks, branding, or proprietary materials without prior permission.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, if you breach these Terms or misuse SalahLock.

10. Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms occasionally. Any updates will be made available within the App and will include an updated effective date. Continued use of SalahLock after changes takes effect indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, unless local law requires otherwise.
